Settings

Use this menu to customize your phone settings to suit your preferences.
In the standby mode, press and select [Settings].

Time & Date

Use this menu to change the time and date displayed on the standby screen.

Set time:Change the time.
Time format:Select [12 hour] or [24 hour] as the time format.

Note:
If [12 hour] is selected as the time format, you need to select am or pm when setting the time.

Set date:Change the date.
Date format:Select [D/M/Y] , [M/D/Y] or [Y/M/D] as the date format.

Phone Settings

AUTO POWER ON/OFF

Set the phone to power on or off automatically at a preset time.

LANGUAGE

Use this menu to change the display language.

FACTORY RESET

Use this menu to reset the phone’s settings you have changed and clear all data you have added. You need to enter your phone password to reset the settings. The default phone password is 0000.

Call setup

Call volume

Adjust the call volume. Press to increase and to decrease.

Divert

Divert All Calls:Divert all incoming calls to your specified number.
Divert if Busy:Divert incoming calls when you are on another call and incoming calls that are rejected by you.
Divert if no answer:Divert incoming calls in a specified deferred time when you do not answer the phone.
Divert if not reachable:Divert incoming calls when you are not in your service area or when your phone is switched off.
Cancel All:Cancel all call diverting options.
Check status:Check if any diverting option has been selected.

Note:
Call diverting is a network service. Contact your service provider for more information.

Answer mode

Use this menu to select the desired way for answering a call. There are four answer modes available: [Answer key] , [Flip open answer] , [Any key answer] and [Auto answer] . Read “Answer a call” on page 10 for more details.

Call waiting

Call waiting function enables you to hold a call and answer another.
Activate:Your phone informs you when someone is trying to reach you while you are on another call. You can hold the currently active call to answer the new incoming call.
Deactivate:Deactivate call waiting function.
Check status:Check whether call waiting function is activated or deactivated.

Caller ID

Send Number:Show your phone number to the person you are calling.
Hide Number:Hide your phone number from the person you are calling.
Set by net:Your phone uses the default settings provided by the network.

Note:
This is a network service. Contact your service provider for more details.

Set Network

Network selection

This menu allows you to search for new network in the following two ways:
Automatic:Select this option to let your phone automatically search for and register a new network according to the network list stored in your SIM card.
Manual:Select this option to manually search for a new network currently available. When search is finished, the phone automatically displays the networks found. You can press to view and press to register.

Select Net Sequence

Use this menu to define the order in which your phone searches for a new network under Automatic search mode when you use your phone outside of your home service network. The number of networks that you can store in the list depends on the type of SIM card used. Select a network and press key or to access the following options:

Replace with…:Replace the currently selected network with another one from the list.
Network Code:Add a network code for the currently selected network.
Delete:Delete the currently selected network.
Move Position:Move the selected network down to the next position.

Security

PIN Code

PIN code protects the SIM card against unauthorized use. The code can be a 4-8 digit number.
Active:PIN code is requested each time your phone is switched on.
Deactivate:No need to enter PIN code when your phone is switched on.

SIM Lock

This menu allows your phone to work only with the current SIM card by assigning a phone password.

SMS Password protect

Use this menu to lock access to the [Messages] menu. When set to [Active], you must enter the phone password before you can access the [Messages] menu.

Password Manager

Use this menu to change the phone password, PIN code and PIN2 code.
Change password: Use this menu to change your phone password.

Note:
The phone password is preset to 0000. To prevent unauthorized access to your phone, make sure to change the preset password as soon as possible after your purchase.

Change PIN:Use this menu to change your PIN. The PIN code feature must be enabled to change the PIN. Refer to “PIN code” on page 44 for more details.

Warning:
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in succession, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock it, you need to enter the PUK code supplied by your service provider. If you enter an incorrect PUK ten times in succession, the SIM card is permanently blocked and cannot be used anymore.

Change PIN2:Use this menu to change your PIN2 code.

Warning:
If you enter an incorrect PIN2 three times in succession, the code is blocked.
To unblock it, you need to enter your PIN2 supplied by your service provider.
